For the 2018 DTM season, Dutchman Robin Frijns competed following some additional development work to last year's Audi. The aerodynamics of the Audis RS 5 DTM in particular have changed a lot compared to its predecessor. With a total of 84 points, Frijns came 13th at the end of the season. Audi has won the most races in recent years.
