The development of the Mercedes-AMG C 63 DT lasted from the end of 2015 to August 2016.
This Mercedes prototype racing car delivers 500 bhp from its V8 naturally aspirated engine and produces a maximum torque of 500 Nm. Since the 2015 season it has been known as the Mercedes AMG C63 DTM. As a replacement for the most successful DTM racing car from Mercedes, the car was able to assert itself from the outset and clinched some races for itself against the big competitors such as Audi and BMW. Thanks to 70% new parts in comparison to the predecessor and careful planning, Robert Wickens with model number 6 was able to cheer the crowd on the podium on the second day of the race from 1st place.
